Galatic Laser Tag Outing, Mid Valley

So, this is one activity that I’ve been wanting to do for decades. You know, go in, shoot people or even get shot. And I finally got the chance, with a whole bunch of boys, we went to rock Galatic Laser Tag in Mid Valley 2 Saturdays ago. Sorry to spoil your day, but I find this picture rather impressive. Fierce look fail big time.IMG_0935 It was also a Halloween weekend. So, things were a lil creepy and all. But it was a great time of fun, scaring ourselves and all.IMG_0922 IMG_0923 Fast. Furious. Fun. It wasn’t that furious. But it was surely fast and fun.IMG_0924 Kan I say it was Halloween? This isn’t too scary, but yeah. Oh, I wanted to brag about how my iPhone cover shines in the dark. But I’d save it for another time.IMG_0925 IMG_0926 The entrance was pretty cool. I feel like I’m in some Power Rangers thing.IMG_0927 IMG_0928 This was the Briefing Room before the match.IMG_0929 Rules are pretty cool. And yes, pregnant women are not allowed. Really. Too scary lah.IMG_0930 You can actually come up and view the match. Like really. People screaming and all. It’s quite the exciting lah. Seeing is one thing. Playing is another.IMG_0931 The bunch of guys I went with. Nicholas, Caleb, Kelvin, Ian, Natanael, Wen Jie.IMG_0932 In the briefing room, we still had to snap pictures. We just had to.IMG_0933 Lastly, this is the guy who ACTS cooooool. Nicholas.IMG_0934 It’s quite a good place for outing and bonding. We had so much fun trying to kill each other, and will never seem to die. But it’s something I would wanna go again.

Logos Hope, World’s Largest Floating Book Fair in Port Klang

Weeks ago, I was at Logos Hope, World’s Largest Floating Book Fair. I thought it was sad enough that I had to miss the Big Bad Wolf Book fair, but well, I took this as a compensation. Not much of a reader, but well, I do read lah. But hey, I used to be forced into reading. Hence, my half-past-six English. But I realised the more I read, the more the slang creeps into my Cantonese, where it can be scary at times. Logos Hope, arrived at Port Klang. It was raining but I the weather was aweesome when we arrived there. Like, really.IMG_0879The journey was so long, that the first thing we do when we arrived at the Cruise Centre, to head to the toilet. Oh, I went with some families and friends. IMG_0880 This picture was meant for Jiahuei, and yes, I sent it all the way to the UK for her to show her some bits of my sampatness.IMG_0881 Logos Hope, parked right opposite Star Virgo ship. I can tell you how much I am tempted to get on Star Virgo, it’s gigantic and it looks really cooooool. Who wants to join me in it? =DIMG_0882 It’s rare I camwhore but I thought, its Sher Leen, and she needs the camera. It’s like, she equals camera kind. So I thought, let’s do a picture. I was just trying to “gratify” her needs of camwhoring okay? Haha.IMG_0883 I was also taken for a tour. And each of us had a tag. I was in the Germany team. I don’t know why Germany. IMG_0884 I was so hungry that snacks were just too irresistable. I bought this mega chocolate cookie. Really good stuffs yo. If it was warmed, it would also have been 10 times nicer.IMG_0885 She’s Jessica, our tour guide. Pretty friendly and nice.IMG_0886 IMG_0887 I got up to Deck 7. Quite the fun lah. I think I wanna live in there.. For A WEEK. Haha. You know I can’t stand being locked in a place kan?IMG_0888 I didn’t get to meet the captain. He’s on a break. He is quite the young. Apparently, he had a dream when he was young to be the captain of a Mission Ship. And now here he is, talk about living our dreams.IMG_0889 I can stalk people from this door. But I don’t know why an aunty turns out. Don’t ask la, okay?IMG_0890 This is the theater in the ship. Super cool I tell you. And it’s also used as a concert hall. Good lightings and looks like there were good sound systems too.IMG_0891 And after the tour, only we were allowed to head to the book fair. Not really. We got special invites, hence the tour. But hey, they’ve got a huge variety of books. Like, really a lot. From fictions to non-fictions, romance to adventure to even dictionaries. They also have CDs and DVDs for sale. Apparently, they have over 5000 books and CDs on board.IMG_0892 IMG_0893IMG_0894And since we were in Port Klang, we can’t run away from some seafood kan? So, we went for supper at this place at around 11pm. Thank goodness I don’t eat seafood. Else, I’d be sooooo the gemuk. Already am. Tell me about it. But I thought they had some delicious noodles too.IMG_0895 So, this boat is a travelling boat. I’m not too sure when it’s leaving. But I do think that this is quite an adventure. Poor people like me who have no access to Star Virgo, should at least go for this la. Haha. But yeah, if you wanna go for Star Virgo, hit me up yo! Would be more than happpy to gooo! :)

Amazing Race (Part 2)

So here’s continuing the story of Amazing Race. The next task was located at Pudu Jail, the famous Pudu Jail has recently been torn down (slightly) and is now one of KL historical sites, if I am right. The task was to ask someone with a specific colour t shirt to take a picture with them.DSC_4576 DSC_4577 KL Tower was the next location of the Amazing Race 2011: I LOVE MY CITY. Participants were given 2 choices – LOGIC or CREATIVE. In CREATIVE: They were asked to draw a picture of KL Tower In LOGIC: They had to do some tough Mathematical calculations on the parking rates.DSC_4588 DSC_4593DSC_4615 What a great 1 Malaysia Spirit snapped eh? This is one brilliant 1 Malaysia picture.DSC_4601 DSC_4607DSC_4617 Next up is the Bukit Nanas jungle where they had to solve a puzzle and had to the other end of the jungle.DSC_4608 DSC_4610 DSC_4613They were crazily tired and some even got lost in the jungle. Stay tuned for my last post on ROCK Amazing Race 2011.

ROCK Amazing Race 2011 (Part 1)

ROCK Amazing Race is an annual event organised by ROCK Youth. It has been probably been hitting the city of Kuala Lumpur (and partially Selangor) the past few years. And recently, in March, it was held all over Kuala Lumpur. For this year, the theme is “I LOVE MY CITY”. I think many of the youths these days have failed to recognise the importance of loving the country, or even the importance of standing by our nation. Youths these days tend to drift away in their own world criticising their own country due to many factors. Here, “I LOVE MY CITY” is one of the best themes to inculcate in a youth event to encourage participation and love for their nation. I will be going through the routes of the race all over Kuala Lumpur. Pretty fun and exciting one. All geared up at the Registration Counter.DSC_4493 DSC_4494 Participants all in their sports attire, ready to run and race. They know it’s not gonna be easy for the amount of cash they are gonna get.DSC_4501 This is Toly, with Matthew Oh curi-ing glamour behind.DSC_4502 All ready to START!DSC_4534 First task was probably the easiest in an Amazing Race. Sorting the beans. On a side note, have you ever wondered, if you count the beans, how much effort the organiser has to put in? I am a little curious. DSC_4540 DSC_4545 DSC_4558 Next stop was at the Open Area at Maybank. The task? Was to sing Jaclyn Victor’s Gemilang in the public. They were learning the song there. Who cares the tunes, the tones, the melody and the lyrics? People just wanted to get away from such a tough song. Jaclyn Victor was the 1st Malaysian Idol winning over Dina many years back. Her rendition of Gemilang was probably proved that she is a “super duper” singer and Malaysia still have a great talents. DSC_4564 DSC_4565 The next stop was behind KLCC, if I remembered correctly. They were given a break with sandwiches and drinks.DSC_4568DSC_4572 Next part UP soon!

Flashback of Randomness

I was just figuring that I’d want to be taking a break from my routine blogging style and bring you some flashback which I evidently remembered that I did not post them up here. These are mostly random shots from everywhere (not exactly: just 3 locations). I thought I’d just post them up, and maybe you can make a script or story through these pictures? What say you? First thing’s first, learn magic stunts and magic show on my blog. It’ has successfully fooled Jiahuei Chong, with my Godfather’s step-by-step magic. You wanna learn step-by-step magic, you can holla me. LOL.IMG_0465And she still got so amazed with the simple tricks, just at Old Town White Coffee. IMG_0466 Next up was something we did quite a while ago, Buffet Steamboat at Yuen, Sunway. A gathering of a bunch of 10 people in 1 table, simply to have loads of funn!IMG_0478 Featuring her again, Jiahuei Chong:IMG_0493 The Lilian Lim:IMG_0494 The Jessie Loh:IMG_0495The Onion Kung:IMG_0496 Yuen’s has a pretty wide range of food I’d say. How’s the food? I thought it was okay, but the fact that you have a wide range of selection and eat-all-you-can buffet. I think that’s pretty awesome. It has long queues too. Pre-book if you wanna enter. Worth a try, if you’ve never been. Here’s really how random people party! ___________________________________________________________________________ Business Hours: Around 5.30pm to 11pm

ROCK ALOHA 2011

This was an event held in January. I thought it was pretty successful. If you are looking for youth ministry ideas or events; this is definitely one of the most successful thematic youth event I’ve attended. The idea was a launching event to kick off the year. So we thought of calling it ALOHA which meant HELLO, i think. =D Dress code was obviously Hawaian ; refreshments was definitely some pizzas. It was a wet-party. Some of the girls decided to pose and be beautiful for the few seconds.DSC_4417 DSC_4418 It was then a great time of worship. How can we kick off a youth ministry without WORSHIP?DSC_4429 DSC_4431 DSC_4434 DSC_4440 And here, we go to the rooftop for some awesome games and ice-breakers. We had 2 big pineapples as decorations. I think this is the biggest pineapple I’ve ever seen in my life.DSC_4441 DSC_4442 DSC_4445 I WAS NOT STRIPPING. I am serious.DSC_4448 Some shots with Sher Lin; she’s one awesome girl! Now that she’s in JB, her presence is dearly missed obviously. 😉DSC_4450 DSC_4451 DSC_4452 Don’t ask me how I got into this picture, somehow I got in.DSC_4453 The war begun. Throwing balloons; protecting by just leaves and rubbish bags. No joke!DSC_4454 DSC_4456 DSC_4458 Throwing coloured pebbles into different tupperwares. I thought this was a fantastic idea. Looks pretty interesting, no?DSC_4463 Here we are, throwing, tossing or whatever you call it?DSC_4465 Here’s the best idea of them all. We gathered them in the centre asking them to do a dance and pause when the music comes. So, they were happily dancing away. No one would have expected rain would fall, right? =DDSC_4471 Here, they were asked to PAUSE. So, PAUSE.DSC_4475 Spot anything amiss here? We were up there raining them with water balloons.DSC_4477 And comes more, the rain. We sprayed water via the pipe. They were running all over for shades. Some were really wet.DSC_4478 See the water effects? =DDSC_4479 DSC_4480 DSC_4481 DSC_4482 Don’t you just love their expressions? This is one of the fun, catchy, up-to-date youth events that can be done regardless where you are. Pretty fun and easy to handle as well for youth ministries. =D

Amazing Race (Part 2)

Okay, I am a little lazy to go on typing today, but these are some other stations. And just some clarifications, those who looked highly on me and thought I joined the race, I was one of the Person In Charge for the event. So i DID NOT RUN! I wished I could say that I did it but nah. Here’s another station at Maluri area and they were required to do some actions.DSC00165 DSC00168 DSC00177 DSC00180  DSC00183 And at this place, they arrived at the station in Petaling Jaya Museum to do tasks in there:DSC07025 DSC07026 DSC07039 DSC07040 DSC07042 DSC07045 A finale to the event, not all survived, But this was just a part of those who actually arrived back at church as the final stop. They were one energetic bunch!DSC_2321DSC_2328  Here you go, the winners:DSC_2323 DSC_2324 DSC_2325 More final shots before we head off!DSC_2326 DSC_2327 IMG_0206 And there the winners walked away with the cash with the bright smiles on their faces! Whoever said that I am long winded with my posts, please tell me lah! Haha

Okay, get ready to wave your hands to say Bye Bye to Hong Kong. Yes, this is the final post – with loads of videos in it. I was so reluctant to post so many, but I did anyways. Note I deleted like so many of those videos. Here are some best recorded video from that trip and if you don’t have time, watch any of the Fireworks video. Sure worth your time. The beauty of those fireworks (sorry, pollution also lah) amazes me. Video 1: As I was mentioning, we were saying no laughing in the Roller Coaster yesterday right? These 2 pretty girls laughed their way through and hence, the punishment was to dance in public and yeah, they did! They kinda embarrassed themselves when the crowd was just looking at the 2 weird people laughing while dancing.

While waiting for the Fireworks, we were so tired and yet we still did a recording of our lame selves. It doesn’t at all look good with our gila gila looks and crap. You just need to see the crap we said there.

Video 2: And this was the pre-Fireworks where the dancers and all came out.

Here comes all the amazing fireworks that really brighten up my world and my new year. It was such a great start to view this magnificent fireworks. I saw it 2 years back, and I somehow think it got even prettier as the 2 years passed.

Hence, with this. Bid farewell to Hong Kong. I hope to be there again. No doubt about that. Anyone up for that? 😛
