So, here’s my attempt in trying to keep my blog as active as possible. Here are the pictures from my old HTC. So, please bear with the photo quality. I think it’s pretty horrible now that I have an iPhone 4, no, I’m not bragging. But in comparison, iPhone 4 does change my perception of photos, somehow or rather. RANDOM #1: 6666.IMAGE_164I drove and the number hit 6666, and I don’t know how but I got so fascinated with the number. It’s like jackpot to me. But no, I did not purchased any lots. Okay, here’s another PSA reminder: Don’t snap pictures while driving RANDOM #2: Jaclyn Victor at UNIQLO Pre Launch PartyIMAGE_178I can’t believe I looked so fat here. But here was a picture with Jaclyn Victor, Malaysian Idol Season 1 at UNIQLO Launch in Malaysia (Fahrenheit 88). IMAGE_147 I went to a friend’s place and I saw that his house has the most collection of Coca Cola bottles and cans from all over the world with different design. Not just that, it was also a collection of Coca-Cola merchandises like cup and all. Ever seen any more than this?

Worship with Sidney Mohede

A long long overdue post due to my new found love – procrastination. Honestly, I’ve another like pending 8 events from 2010 to blog about. And gosh, this isn’t good for my reputation. LOL. Anyways, this was one of the event I think it was significant to me and to many others. In October, we had a Worship Night with Sidney Mohede, who was here for the weekend. The humble man who always calls himself “Sidney More-headache”. I had a fun time worshipping. Prolly it’s always fun to worship God despite the circumstances we are all going through. And of course apart from ADORE, which I had even more fun worshipping. Imagine shaking the heavens together in one voice and 7 chairs broke that night. For real. I’m talking too much, let’s get the pictures going.IMG_0755The Saturday night Worship event with Sidney Mohede in Kuala Lumpur Baptist Church with the Church’s main team.IMG_0731The guy himself: Sidney Mohede. Oh on a random note, he loves Malaysian coffee! IMG_0736 IMG_0738 IMG_0739 IMG_0741 I know this is blurry. But I wanted to show that Worship is NEVER boring. It’s always fun.IMG_0743 And on Sunday, he led worship in church as well. I was a part of the team on Sunday. I’ve to tell you I’ve learned so so much from the man himself. He thought me humility most. A guy with his humbleness who has brought him thus far. God’s good.IMG_0753 Also, we also brought him out for lunch to SUKA. SUKA is a new restaurant around Bukit Bintang area and is a cozy and nice hangout place. We know the owner there so we kinda love going there for a quick hangout. The ambience is nice with high ceiling, relaxing songs and above average food. Oh, it’s affordable too. The table we booked:IMG_0757 IMG_0759 My parents and my so-called sister snapped a picture with the man himself before meals. IMG_0761 A family snap shot (Amanda Saputra, so called sister) with Sidney.IMG_0762 Sidney telling his life story. Okay, I kinda remembered he was lah.IMG_0764 The 2 girls with their drinks – Amanda and Ashley.IMG_0767 IMG_0769 Here’s Sidney busy twitting his 3 varieties of food. And on another random note, he apparently likes Malaysian food too. Oh if you want to, follow his twitter at: @SidMohede (follow mine too lah! :D) IMG_0771 That was what he ate in one afternoon…….IMG_0772 IMG_0773IMG_0774 ….. JUST KIDDING! We kinda shared to get a taste of them. It looks really delicious lah! It tastes delicious too!IMG_0775 IMG_0776 Me, having sweet tooth, I love desserts. Cantik kan?IMG_0780 And here comes Amanda’s 21st Birthday Surprise. First time ever celebrating in Malaysia without her family. But yeah, still my sister lah! 😀IMG_0782 She was in tears that we remembered and gave her a cake, and of course it was together with Sidney!IMG_0785 IMG_0786 The 4 siblings! Tai-kar-cheh seated.IMG_0787 A few more piccas before we head off from the place.IMG_0794 IMG_0795 IMG_0800 IMG_0798 IMG_0799All in all, great time of learning and worshipping in one weekend! I’ll just keep doin’ it and never wanna stop!

All About Rebecca Black

No, this is no trick in the title. I ain’t talking about any racism. But this girl somehow caught my attention.Rebecca Black, has recently became a YouTube sensation, or I should say, “Social Media Sensation” with her new single “Friday”.

If you are a fan of Justin Bieber, yes, Rebecca Black is experiencing the same amount of fame as Bieber. Nevertheless, not as many haters as Bieber. And bear in mind, Rebecca Black is only 13. No kidding! So, how did Rebecca Black came about? Her single “Friday” went on Youtube on February 5 and only recently, she got a lot of attention when the views increased tremendously. At this point, her views of the Official Video is at 13,651,932. And hey, thats like so so so many viewers. These days, this girl, Rebecca has also been trending on Twitter. Seriously, though I thinks that her song was a “JUST OKAY” song, but it’s been really catchy and the choruses does stick into your head. And she was a NOTHING into SOMETHING with the power of SOCIAL MEDIA. Despite the various criticisms on Twitter and Facebook on her video, she has got a huge number of fans as well. Does this brings you closer to why she is going through a life of Biebers? Or is this proving the fact that “BAD PUBLICITY is GOOD PUBLICITY”? Some criticisms from Wikipedia writes that "vocals as having a peculiar tonality that inadvertently highlights the absurdity of boiletplate pop lyrics” or “sounds unlike anything else in pop music”.

Going back to the song “Friday”, it’s a song written by Clarence Jey and Patrice Wilson. And it was this song that had 3,000 views and jumper into 14 million views on March 11 within six days. And being so viral, many parodies and remixes has been made out of it. Here’s one of the parody:

And on a personal note, you can say and so so much on the word “Friday”. Don’t chu? Lets try; here are a few I came to mind:

  • Fridays – a day before the weekend
  • Fridays – need to work over time
  • Fridays – party all night
  • Fridays – hangovers
  • Fridays – Fry:day

So much you can think and write about Friday, no? So bringing me to a random question: What is a song that you can write with the title “Friday”? Have an awesome possum Friday!

Opps.. I Did It Again!

The title says it all. I just indulged myself in some of the world’s most fattening food this time round thanks to I LOVE DISCOUNTS. I am not exaggerating to say that I’ve had my chance to try not 1, but 12 different types of Cheese Tarts. I actually dislike Cheesy people, but I like Cheese. See the irony of the mentally ill Alvin Kok once again? Nevertheless, let’s get away from all my random crap that bores you to death. I LOVE DISCOUNTS gave me another chance to grow a few inches fatter and making my dream come through – of being an explosive (fat) balloon with Opps Cheese Tarts at Pavilion today. Opps Cheese Tarts is Malaysia’s 1st Cheese Tart Stall. The first thing that came into my mind when I heard that “Opps” was this:

Yeah, the song gets stuck into anyone’s head in just a second. Anyways, my point is this: Opps is a Cheese Tart Stall located at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur (168, Jalan Bukit Bintang, Bukit Bintang, 55100, Kuala Lumpur) – near Beard Papa at the Ground Floor (near to Food Republic). It’s not any big fancy stalls but the Opps certainly caught my attention.IMG_0224 You see an array of Cheese Tarts that does not look like Cheese Tarts displayed at the fridge in a very nice, orderly and attractive manner.IMG_0225 At the moment, there are 12 different flavours of Cheese Tarts at Opps. And because it just opened, you get to Buy 10 Free 2 currently (But chup, read on more below for surprises!)IMG_0226With the courtesy of Opps and I LOVE DISCOUNTS, I was given a box here of 12 and because I am a balloon, I got a bite of ever piece. LOL!IMG_0228 I was quite fascinated with the different flavours I was given and the way it was placed in a nice box. Suitable as gifts for Cheese-y friends. Okay, I meant Cheese-lovers’ friends that you have.IMG_0229IMG_0230 So, here’s my 2 cents worth (I hope it worth more!) of opinion on the different flavours given to me. You can choose to abide with my preference, but you are always free to give all of it a try! Almond Cheese Tarts –

Cheese Tarts My 2 Cents
Almond Pretty ordinary. But being a nut fanatic, the almond makes it very nutty, crunchy and tasty. The nuts did not cover the smell of the cheese too!
Black Charcoal The word charcoal tells you most of it already. It tastes weird. I don’t eat charcoal okay? But the cheese taste is still there. I thought that was pretty creative though!
Strawberry If you are a Strawberry lover, this is worth a try. The mixture of strawberry and cheese is about just right. It could be slightly sweeter though.
Pumpkin I like the pumpkin seeds on top. Without a doubt, the pumpkin seeds are the one that gives the cheese tart a variety.
Marble If you are a fan of Marble Cake, you would love this. It is something like Marble Cake, but it’s different because of the cheese. Somehow or rather, it tastes a little like Chocolate! 😛
Lemon This is the ordinary Lemon Cheese Tarts you can get out there, but the difference is this has some tiny lemon pieces on it which it’s chewy.
Greentea Okay, I personally thought this one was the most awful one among all. I did not like the thick taste of Greentea. But I know I am always hated for hating Greentea. Prove me wrong? Go try this! It still smells alien to me somehow! 😛
Coffee Coffee lovers, this is worth a try. The coffee taste was not too strong. So, if you dislike strong taste of coffee, this would make it a good dessert.
Chocolate This was slightly too sweet for me. But if you are a big fan of bitter chocolate, this is not for you. Cause it’s not at all bitter!
Raisins I have to say this one was nice. I shared the tarts with a few and all of us agreed the raisins makes it taste good. Something to chew on while enjoying the taste of the cheese.
Blueberry It’s rare we get to eat blueberry. This was pretty unique and creamy with the blueberries on top. This wasn’t too sweet but I like sucking those blueberry juices out in my mouth! 😛
Black Sesame This was also one of the best. Ain’t too sweet and it had a pretty good mixture of black sesame with cheese. This is a must try!

Despite it all, the cheese texture was pretty smooth. Though I personally think that it should be slightly sweeter. If it was sweeter, it would make a perfecto dessert. But if you are not a fan of sweet sweet things, this is just nice. But if you really have sweet tooth, try get those tarts with toppings, that would help compliment the taste. Okay, the above are obviously my taste buds. Drop me a note if you think it tastes better than that after purchasing them! I wannnnaaaaaaaaaaa know! Buy your chees-y friends a box or get yourself a few today. I LOVE DISCOUNTS will be offering some really good deals beginning middle of next week or so. Keep checking on for more cool discounts coming your way. If you wanna compare the prices, a box of 6 costs RM 21.00 while a box of 10 (+2) costs RM 38.00. You may wanna see what I LOVE DISCOUNTS can offer next week! __________________________________________________________________________ OPPS CHEESE TARTS Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, 168, Jalan Bukit Bintang, Bukit Bintang, 55100, Kuala Lumpur. near to Beard Papa or Food Republic Food Court. Random Friday

So, without a doubt, I’ve been slacking my Fridays for the past say, 13 weeks? And in short, all I do is to eat, sleep, stare. Yeah, now you know how fat I can be every weekends. Worst still, I don’t slim down on the weekdays from Monday to Thursdays. I am ballooning like a big hot air balloon and sometimes I wonder when it will ever explode. So, here’s my usual Random Fridays activities. Don’t laugh cause I know I’ve been a mega couch potato. Activity 1: Eat Pan Mee. I prolly ate more than 10 bowls of Pan Mee in that 13 Fridays of mine. I feel like a slave to Pan Mee these days. It just lures me when I see the 2 words. Activity 2: Stare at my Computer. No, I am not bragging about my computer and my huge screen. But hey look, I was just surfing my usual like Facebook, Twitter and playing online craps and the cycle goes on round and round again. Well, but I got a little more productive today. I found out how to do Audio Streaming on Facebook live on a profile or a page, and I tried learning Facebook MarkUp Language. I felt a sense of achievement. Really.podcast Okay, making this a random quick post, I was on this ad. Add me on Facebook or Twitter to find out about my little mini part on the silly ad for I Love Discounts. And yeah, that was what I meant by Audio Streaming on Facebook. It’s pretty easy and cool! Activity 3: Dream. I tend to dream more on Fridays. It’s like you know Fridays are one of the days you just dream you were here doing things you like. And just dreaming the whole day away! So, you wanna know what I dream about today? I dreamt I was in Hong Kong. And the crazy me went to google Hong Kong piccas and try tempting myself to book a trip there. Last week, I dream I had a job which gives me a “Friday Office” thing. I feel proud when I tell people I have an office to go too. Yes, I am mentally ill these days. Activity 4: I drive like a headless chicken cos’ I don’t know where I am heading to. I conveniently hop on to my car, and then start driving without knowing where I wanna go. Okay, sorry. I contributed some fumes to the environment, but hey, it’s my solitude time. Activity 5: Okay, this is amazing. I’ve never actually do my assignments on Friday. Never. This is like the thing I DON’T DO ON FRIDAYS. Fridays have been a new found weekend for me. Activity 6: EAT. I usually go for an extraordinary meal on Fridays. So, I went to Chillis tonight. Chillis with its big portion of food, me, the balloon can’t even finish it. That sums up how big the portions are. Nevertheless, my new found excitements I look forward to during the weekdays are Fridays. But when Friday comes, NO, I don’t know where I am going neither do I know what I am doing. Today is one of those days I felt like being random. Perhaps, I’ve always been a random person. I do things my mind can’t comprehend at times. I am just a little too lazy to put even a picture today, but let me end your Friday with my not so handsome smile. DSC03204Okay, just kidding. This is so not me. He’s so cute I know. Well, here’s me and here’s hoping you have an awesome weekend ahead. DSC03202 Don’t chu wanna pinch the cheeks of this little boy? Drop me a note if you wanna do. We’ll pinch together! LOL!

Samovar Russian Cuisine

I hate to admit it but I think I will. I’m actually not a big fan of Russian or even, Arab food. No, am not discriminating. But it’s just so.. erm.. Not me? This time round, I went to Samovar Russian Restaurant at Solaris Mont Kiara thanks to I LOVE DISCOUNTS. This discount was featured on the website a few weeks back where it was just RM25 for Meal for 2. Giving you 50% off from it’s original RM 50. I seemed reluctant going for a new taste but I did it after all. And to my amazement, it wasn’t all too bad So, I thought this was one of my personal favourite. The Olivia Russian Traditional Salad. The taste was a well blend of mixed veg and some meat (and cheese, I think). And I thought the blending of taste was pretty appetizing.IMG_0138 IMG_0139 Kicking off your meals, you also get a Borsh Soup. Though I think the soup was pretty ordinary. I was not able to compare to the usual Borsh Soup because this is an entirely different cuisine. I thought the taste could have been a lil more sour. But averagely, for a soup, it was something unique that it’s worth a try!IMG_0140  Going into the Main Course, this is Katletti (Breaded minced chicken with butter and cheese filling). The Chicken was a little bit oily and salty, at first. But when it’s mixed with the rice, I think it was such a good mix. The chicken was fresh and there are actually some spices and sauces for you to add on to flavour it, which I thought it was pretty interesting!IMG_0143Pepper, mayonnaise and chilli sauce. IMG_0144 This was the Blinchiki (Beef rolled inside a pancake) and Golubtsy (Meat rolled in cabbage leaves and stewed – a famous Russian Winter dish). I thought the beef in Blinchiki was pretty tender, fresh and nice. It was nicely wrapped and you can also add some black pepper sauce.IMG_0146 This is really a nice dish and it’s pretty filling.IMG_0145 You are also served with Ice Lemon Tea as part of the discount. Generally, the whole shop has a great ambience and it’s clean. The ambience is quiet and calm. It also faces the NKVE highway where you see cars all over.If you enjoy seeing cars, that’s the place to hang out at. Before I forget, Samovar also offers Western and Italian favourites like steaks, grilled meats, lasagna and spaghettis. They also have a Bring-Your-Own Alcohol policy. There are no alcohol offered on the menu. Nevertheless, you can bring your own and there are no corkage charges. If you think thats just it, glasses and ice are all at your service for free. This deal ended on January 25, 2011 on ILOVEDISCOUNTS. If you did not get this deal, you kinda missed us, cause it’s not always you get 50% off on your favourite meals. __________________________________________________________________________ SAMOVAR RUSSIAN CAFE K-01-08 SOHO KL, 1st Floor (Facing NKVE Highway), few doors from Tenji, Solaris Mont Kiara Business Hours: Daily from 3pm-12am. If you see…

You know. It was quite depressing to have friends from Singapore, joining Taylor Swift’s concert. What was worst? They tweet and mention me in almost all the pictures and tweets. It’s like being constipated in the toilet – wanna let it out but you can’t. Here was one of the evil teaser all the way from Singapore! IMG_0104 Introduced to Taylor Swift by a close friend a few years back has indeed been memorable. This friend of mine would do whatever it was for Taylor Swift. And he got me so crazy and guess what, I asked a friend to buy her album all the way from the US when it was not released yet here in Malaysia. Taylor Swift’s genre of music is always something light and it gets you swift-ing along all the time. Fine, I know and read all about her writing songs everytime she breaks up. But in my mind, here was what I was thinking: “If she writes that good songs, maybe she should break up 12 times a year”. Okay, I didn’t mean it. But if she never break up, these songs will never be on air right? 😀 Well, RedFm is giving us (ME actually!) a chance to see her LIVE in the UK as well as a share of RM 20,000. You know the amount of things I can buy with RM 20K. It’s like, I can bring all of you for buffet meal or something! 😀 So, it’s 3 simple steps: Step 1: Go to Facebook, click join on: Red Fm (Malaysia) Step 2: Change your profile picture to this: red Step 3: Share your Taylor Swift and Red.Fm Love. May I add – Step 4: Sit, back, wait and drop me a note on this post! 😀 By the way, hawt pictures of Taylor Swift doesn’t require thousands, just one nice one will do! 😀 Find out more on: www.red.fm – Today’s Best Music.

I Have A Big Mouth.

Hello! So, you know me well. I have a fantarstic big mouth. You don’t need to know me well to know that I have a big mouth anyways. Yeap, I went into a cafe that actually resembles me and my BIG MOUTH! 😀 So, I actually went into a restaurant cafe called The Big Mouth to do some food tasting sponsored by ILOVEDISCOUNTS. This was one of the deal featured (and ended) a week ago!DSC_0004I was there to test out some cakes and coffee. And of course, it was not at all disappointing. Staying true to it’s tagline – Simply Exotic Taste really caught me. Cause the cakes tasted better than it looks. Yes, looks ain’t that deceiving. It ain’t an oxymoron afterall. The first cake I tasted was this: Chocolate Pralinosa Crunchy (RM 6.90). Being a nutty person like me, I love nuts. The cake wasn’t too sweet and the best part was it is crunchy because of the nuts! The dark chocolate wasn’t too bitter neither was it too sweet either. Okay, don’t judge me. I love everything that’s nutty because I go nuts often!DSC_0009Next, I decided to try something more common to see if it stands out as compared to others. So, I selected – Blueberry Chill Cheese (RM 6.90) since you see this cake almost in every cake shop. Don’t chu? I expected this cake to be filling and cheesy. But to my amazement, it wasn’t. It was light and fluffy (quotes my friend). And I think I enjoyed it much because it’s just nice for tea time – where you don’t need filling cakes to stuff your stomach and get you all sleepy. Though I did think that the layer of crust below it could be a little thicker. Yes, I love all crunchy things!DSC_0017 I also ordered this unique Italiano Hot Chocolate (RM 6.90). The staff did claim that it was quite a hit order. I think this drink was just okay. And it’s chocolate was too light. I need it sweeter and thicker for this one! But the aroma and taste is of course there already!DSC_0018 Okay, this looks a bit funny here for a Caramel Hazelnut Latte (RM 5.90). I think being a Barista previously has shaped my tongue into one big fussy one! I did enjoy this better than the Italiano Chocolate. Though I prefer the Hazelnut Latte at my previous workplace. But this wasn’t too bad but just that the taste of coffee would be better if it was stronger. But if you like something that isn’t too heavy. I think you’ve found the right drink!DSC_0020All in all, this is one cozy cafe for chats and talkover; whether it’s business or leisure. It has a nice ambience and good service. I’ve to say that there were many staffs there in the cafe. This cafe serves other meals like sandwiches, pasta, burgers and some western too for meals. A pity I didn’t get to try any of those meals. This deal ended on January 15, 2011 on ILOVEDISCOUNTS as it was a 53% discount for a cake and a cuppa coffee. And with the ambience, the cakes quality. it’s sure worth a go.DSC_0032e2Photos credit to Nicholas Pang and Lim Yi Hueih. __________________________________________________________________________ THE BIG MOUTH 24-1, Jalan USJ 9/5N, Subang Jaya, 47620, Selangor, Malaysia Tel: +603-80249095 __________________________________________________________________________ Get the best deals: ILOVEDISCOUNTS Facebook – http://www.facebook.com/welovediscounts ILOVEDISCOUNTS Twitter – @ilovediscountmy
